HON. AMA BENYIWA-DOE, THE CENTRAL REGIONAL MINISTER COMMISSIONS PROJECTS IN GOMOA WEST DISTRICT


THE MINISTER ADDRESSING THE PUBLIC

Hon. Ama Benyiwa-Doe, the Central Regional Minister paid a working visit to the Gomoa West District of the Central Region on the 13th of June, 2012.
Delivering his welcome address on the occasion, Hon. Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, the DCE for Gomoa West intimated that in a matter of three (3) years, the district has received a solid one hundred and ten (110) projects, attesting to the effectiveness of ‘the Better Ghana Agenda.’  He added that the district benefited a lot from the Regional Minister when she was the MP for the Gomoa West Constituency and continues to enjoy under her administration as a regional minister.

In her speech, the Regional Mnister said she always felt a sense of pride whenever she visited the district. She emphasized the need for the assembly to beef up revenue collection since that was a functional means of supporting development in the area. She also called on the two traditional councils in the district, being the Akyempim and the Ajumako Traditional Councils.
More importantly, the Regional Minister’s visit was characterized by the inspection and commissioning of projects. Among the projects inaugurated were the Ajumako Basic School project, the Apam Methodist Basic School project, the Apam R.C. Basic School project and the Abonko CHPS compound among others.
